“Yeah,” her dad continued, “I didn’t sleep as good as last night either, not bad, but definitely not feeling as chipper as yesterday,” he finished with a shrug.
“And... this was the 'magic trick' Daddy saw you doing? This is why he started fucking you?” she asked in disbelief.
Well, I didn’t see her soon. I didn’t see Carol again. Between vacation and soccer camp I wasn’t around that much, and we could never connect when I was.
