In the latest update from the Player Protection team, the Commendation System has been introduced to give teammates a new way to share their gratitude and appreciation with each other. This system allows players to show their teammates how much they appreciate their efforts, while also providing a way for players to be recognized for their contributions.

How It Works

The Commendation System is simple to use. Players can commend up to two teammates after a Quick Match, Standard, or Ranked game by selecting one of three categories: Valor, Dedication, or Guidance. These categories recognize teammates who have demonstrated exceptional qualities such as staying cool under pressure, being reliable and engaged, or taking on a leadership role.

In addition to commending teammates, players can also vote to commend the opposing team. A majority "YES" vote is required for the vote to be successful.

Restrictions

To prevent abuse of the system, there are some restrictions in place:

• Players who abandon a match will not be eligible for Commendations.
• A player cannot give both of their Commendations to the same person.
• A player cannot award more than one Commendation to the same player within a 7-day period.

What Commendations Mean

Receiving Commendations can have several benefits. Players who receive consistent Commendations will be awarded a Streak bonus, which gives them a +1% drop chance on their Alpha Packs. Additionally, players who meet certain requirements may qualify for rewards, such as an Epic or Legendary Alpha Pack.

Streaks

If a player receives Commendations consistently, they will start a Streak. This streak can be reflected in the Reputation Center, main menu squad panel, and matches for other players to see. Players have the option to disable their Streak icon if they wish to protect their privacy.

Rewards

Players who meet certain requirements may qualify for rewards. These rewards include:

• At mid-season, any player who has received a Commendation in the current season will receive an Alpha Pack of Epic rarity.
• At the end of a season, players in the top 25% of Commendations for that season will receive an Alpha Pack of Legendary rarity.

The Player Protection team continues to work on both the Commendation System and Reputation System to support and protect players' journeys in Siege. The goal is to increase positive interactions in-game and provide a more positive overall experience for players. With this update, players can now show their appreciation for each other's efforts and earn rewards for their contributions.
