On New Year's Eve, about 30 men gathered at one of the resident's backyard, forming circles of five people each to play gaple (a type of card game). The atmosphere was lively, with laughter and cheering filling the air. When someone lost, the sound of their defeat echoed through the village, accompanied by the chirping of crickets from the nearby paddy fields.

While some may think this celebration is simple or old-fashioned, for these villagers, it's a way to strengthen family bonds and community ties. "Even though it's just a simple gathering, it can bring us closer together," said Arga Prasetya, one of the residents.
