Like muscle memory, he quickly switched on the TV and started wolfing down the food like a starving man. Only after demolishing half the bowl of pasta, barely paying attention to the random game show playing softly in the background did he turn to his daughter and notice the look on her face.

“It's not that,” I said, trying to figure out the words to explain, when I only partly understood how I was feeling about it myself. “I know he'd be okay with it... and we might end up going there, eventually. But once he knows, there's no taking that back. I... I just need more time to think about it, first, before we go there. Right now, he's just my Grandpa, nothing else, and I'm just his innocent little baby girl... I'm not sure I'm ready to give that up, not yet.”

The player is put in the role of the Doctor, in charge of Rhodes Island, an organization tasked with investigating disasters caused by a mysterious ore known as Originium, and aiding those infected by Oripathy, caused by exposure to Originium. As the amnesiac Doctor clad in protective suit, the player is put in control over the characters known as Operators, tasked to eliminate the threats lurking from the rebel group known as Reunion.
