Shadow or Not: A Guide to FFBE's Gacha System

Shadow or Not: A Guide to FFBE’s Gacha System

FFBE (Final Fantasy Brave Exvius) has finally arrived, bringing with it a rich storyline, beautiful graphics, and a gacha system that has piqued the interest of many players. As you delve into the world of FFBE, you'll want to know what characters are worth chasing after, how to increase your chances of getting the ones you want, and how to make the most out of your Lapis.

The Best of the Best

When it comes to min-maxing, there are certain characters that stand out from the rest. These include:

  • Vaan
  • Exdeath
  • Bartz
  • Cecil
  • Cloud of Darkness

These characters are considered the best possible choices for any build or strategy you have in mind.

Noteworthy Characters

If you can't get the above-mentioned characters, there are still some noteworthy ones to consider:

  • Firion
  • Garland
  • Terra
  • Roselia

While they may not be as strong as the top-tier characters, these individuals can still provide a significant boost to your party's overall power.

Useful Characters

Finally, there are some useful characters that can fill specific roles in your team:

  • Cyan
  • Miyuki
  • Edgar
  • Shantotto
  • Krile
  • Vivi

These characters may not be as powerful as the top-tier ones, but they can still provide valuable support and utility to your party.

Future Updates

FFBE's developers have announced that certain characters will receive a ☆ cap boost in the future. These include:

  • 5☆ -> 6☆: Exdeath, Bartz, Cecil, Cloud of Darkness
  • 4☆ -> 5☆: Krile, Kain, Rydia, Galuf

Gacha Rates

The gacha system in FFBE has a specific drop rate for each character. Generally speaking, there are two tiers of drop rates:

  • Less powerful characters (usually those that cap at ☆☆☆ or lower): 5-6% drop rate
  • Stronger characters (usually those that go to ☆☆☆☆ or higher): 1-2% drop rate

Rate Up banners will be introduced in the future, which will increase the drop rates for specific characters.

Rerolling

If you're new to FFBE and want a head start or a specific character, rerolling is an option. Rerolling involves resetting your game file to replay the initial tutorial gacha. This process usually takes around 10-15 minutes and can be worthwhile if you have spare time.

Star Quartz

Star Quartz is a valuable resource that can be used to buy items from the Fat Chocobo in Lost Village of Marlo. In the future, there will be more Fat Chocobos that sell different items.

EXP/EVO Materials

The best way to get EXP/EVO materials is through Daily Vortex dungeons. You can open one Vortex dungeon per day for free. While Lapis can be used to open additional Vortex dungeons, it's not recommended.

Lapis Usage

Once you have 60-70 material slots and 70+ friend slots, you should focus on using your Lapis to draw characters. Right now, it's a good idea to save up for rate Up banners and characters that you really want badly.

Friend Points

Friend points can be used to draw low-quality (☆, ☆☆, and ☆☆☆ only) characters. 200 friend points equal one draw, making this a good way to get some decent Trust gifts as well as a nice method of getting Gil early on.

Rerolling Process

Here's the step-by-step process for rerolling:

  1. Proceed to get your first 500 Lapis.
  2. Draw. If you don't get the character you're after, proceed to step 3. If you do, proceed to step 6.
  3. Log in to Facebook using a dummy account (one made specifically for this game).
  4. After the game restarts, log out of Facebook.
  5. The game will restart again and you'll have a fresh save. Repeat from step 1 until you get the character you're after.
  6. Once you have the character you want, log out of your dummy Facebook account and log in to your real Facebook account.

By following these steps, you'll be able to increase your chances of getting the characters you want and making the most out of your Lapis. Happy gaming!
