5, MHWI Save Editor at Monster Hunter: World

5, MHWI Save Editor at Monster Hunter: World

======================================================

THIS IS A SAVE EDITOR! If you want a game file editor go for Synthlight's MHW Editor. Yes, it's finally arrived, a save editor for Iceborne. This project is open-source on GitHub.

The program depends on VC Redist (x64), the proper place to find it is here. You probably already have it though, only install if the program doesn't open.

The editor will make backups of your save file whenever you open one, this can be turned off in settings. If you don't trust it for whatever reason, you can still make manual backups if you want. The editor makes no automatic changes to your save file, you have full control. The editor will also try a bit to keep your save in a valid state, so if you do manage to mess up your save in some way, please be sure to report it.

NOTE: When switching characters between slots, your research photos may become corrupt. This may be fixed in the future, for now, if you want to keep all your photos make a backup of the following:

temp/_TempPhoto/*
remote/PhotoData*.dat

6, Only 3 save slots? :: Monster Hunter: World General …

I came from DS3 and there if you want to stay at meta "level" you can't use much weapons with efficiency. There, is better creating a new character for another category of weapons: full str, full dex, pyro, int, faith, hybrid etc. Who played that fantastic game knows what I mean!

So, I'm pretty new to this game and this serie in general and so I ask:

Here too I have to create new characters for each weapon that I like? I think not, because there are 14 weapons and only 3 save slots..

So then, do you create just one character for all? I'm stick with the method that I wrote up here, and I had create 3 character. The weeb: Dual blades, Long sword, Insect blade and Bow. My main: Switch axe, Charged blade, Sword and shield and Light bowgun. The big boy: Great sword, Hammer, Gunlance and Heavy bowgun. I don't use the Lance and the Hunting horn because I don't like them.. I did well? What about you?

There are no way to bypass the 3 slots system? ..In DS3 we can do backup of the save files, and create new, fresh one, without being punished. If in the future I want to restart fresh… for reasons… do I have really to delete one of my characters? If it's so…. well that's sad..

You don't have to make a new character for every weapon or something. You can use any weapon on any character and MHW doesn't have a level up system similar to DS3. Your progression is your equipment and the skills you get from armor/slot in from decorations later on.

If you want to use different layouts on the same character, open your item box and change your equipment, there's an option to save your current gear as a loadout which you can re-equip whenever you're changing your stuff again.
