Sebelum kita mulai, perlu diingat bahwa membuat slot pada pintu harus dilakukan dengan benar agar tidak terjadi kesalahan atau kerusakan pada pintu. Berikut adalah langkah-langkah yang harus ditempuh:

Stap 1: Menentukan Letak Slot

Letakkan potong kuku (deurkruk) pada sekitar 105 cm di atas tanah. Gariskan bagian atas dan bawah slot dengan potlood, lalu tarik garis-garis tersebut ke arah sisi pintu yang lebih sempit.

Stap 2: Menentukan Letak Slotplaat

Tarik garis tengah pada slot, lalu letakkan slotplaat pada garis tengah. Gariskan bagian atas dan bawah slotplaat dengan potlood untuk menentukan bentuk slot.

Stap 3: Membuat Gagasan di Pintu

Buat gagasan (slotgat) pada pintu dengan menggunakan potong kuku sebagai referensi. Pastikan bahwa gagasan berada pada posisi yang tepat dan tidak terlalu besar atau kecil.

Stap 4: Menentukan Letak Slotplaat

Menentukan letak slotplaat harus dilakukan dengan benar agar dapat menghasilkan slot yang tepat. Gariskan bagian atas dan bawah slotplaat, lalu tarik garis-garis tersebut ke arah sisi pintu yang lebih sempit.

Stap 5: Membuat Slotgat

Membuat slotgat harus dilakukan dengan benar agar dapat menghasilkan slot yang tepat. Buka gagasan (slotgat) hingga mencapai bagian atas dan bawah slotplaat.

Stap 6: Membuat Slotgat lebih dalam

Menentukan deepness (diepte) dari slotgat harus dilakukan dengan benar agar dapat menghasilkan slot yang tepat. Set diepte-aanslag (depth adjustment) of your drill to the measured depth, and use a piece of masking tape as a guide if needed.

Stap 7: Afsteken met een beitel

Finish the hole by using a chisel, making sure it is perfectly smooth and even.

Stap 8: Omtrek slotplaat overzetten

Transfer the outline of the plate to the wood by tracing the shape with a pencil. This will help you create a template for your slot.

Stap 9: Gaten deurkruk aftekenen

Mark the spot where the latch will go, and use a drill bit that is the same size as the thickness of the door handle. Remove any rough edges or burrs with a file.

Stap 10: Slotplaat vastzetten

Place the plate in the slot, making sure it is aligned properly, then secure it with long screws.

Stap 11: Sluitplaat op kozijn aftekenen

Mark the spot where the door will sit on the frame, and use a sharp pencil to draw a line along the edge of the frame. Use this as a guide for drilling holes and creating openings for the latch plate.

Stap 12: Kozijn uitsteken voor sluitplaat

Extend the marks onto the inside of the frame by drawing lines from the edges, then use these marks to create the openings and bores for the latch plate.
