"The next two years are important. If we don't move up, our revenue will continue to decline, TV revenue will drop," said CEO Thomas Herrich in an interview with "Sport Bild". The pressure on coaches and players is increasing year by year.

How will the austerity program look like in the future? "We'll continue to reduce costs such as downsizing our fleet. But most importantly, our roster must become more cost-effective. We have players with contracts that we wouldn't sign today," explained the 60-year-old Hertha boss.
