Beechcraft 35 Bonanza Series Aircraft Information

More than 17,000 Beechcraft Bonanzas have been manufactured. The Beechcraft Bonanza is an American general aviation aircraft with a variety of models including the 33 Bonanza, 35 Bonanza, 36 Bonanza turboprop and 36 Bonanza single engine.

The Beechcraft Bonanza was introduced in 1947 and has been in continuous production longer than any other airplane in history. At the end of World War II, the Model 35 Bonanza was one of two all-metal aircraft to emerge. The 35 Bonanza was like the fighter planes developed during the war.

The airplane featured an easier to manage horizontally-opposed six cylinder engine, a streamlined shape, retractable nosewheel undercarriage, and low-wing configuration. The Beechcraft Model 35 Bonanza featured retractable landing gear and a signature V-tail. The V-tail of the Beechcraft Bonanza made it both efficient and the most distinctive private airplane in the sky.

The V-tail Bonanza was dropped from production in 1982, but more than 6,000 V-tail models still fly today. The yoke and rudder pedals are interconnected by a system of bungee cords that assist in keeping the plane in coordinated flight during turns this is an unusual feature that all Beechcraft Bonanzas share.

The pilot can make coordinated turns using the yoke along, or with minimal rudder input, during cruise flight because of this bungee system. Variants of the Beechcraft Model 35 Bonanza include the 35, A35, B35, C35, D35, E35, F35, G35, H35, J35, K35, M35, N35, O35, P35, S35, V35, V35A, V35B Bonanza, V35B-TC and the V35TC. The various Beechcraft Model 35 Bonanzas were in production from 1947 to 1982.
