Southeast Queens has finally received the gift it has been dreaming of – a project that will bring a full entertainment, gaming, and community destination within minutes of JFK Airport. This expansion is set to exceed expectations with its unique offerings and commitment to exceeding State and industry vendor and procurement standards for Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (MWBEs) and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Businesses (SDVOBs).
The RWNYC expansion, designed by JCJ Architecture, has generated over $4 billion for New York state's public education system since its opening in 2011. The property is owned by Malaysian company Genting Group, which operates 11 Resorts World locations worldwide.
Uniquely New York Experience
Inspired by Genting's design philosophy, the JCJ team has abandoned traditional, windowless casinos and instead created a brighter aesthetic that is more vibrant and uplifting. Each of the casino's three levels reflects a distinctive atmosphere inspired by a New York City landmark: Times Square Casino, Fifth Avenue Casino, and Central Park.
- Times Square Casino: Located on the first floor, this casino evokes the energy of Times Square with dramatic interactive digital billboards, streaming video displays presenting music videos and sporting events, and Bar 360 – a multi-level entertainment venue featuring the largest video screen in the nation.
- Fifth Avenue Casino: Positioned on the second floor, this casino features high-stakes gaming set amidst an elevated level of refinement and luxury. Upscale dining offerings include Genting Palace and RW Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar. The Liberty Bar provides guests with an exciting view of the first-floor entertainment as well as a 60-foot crystal chandelier with 193 hand-blown glass balls etched with the name of every nation recognized by the United Nations.
- Central Park: The third floor features an expansive event space, inspired by Central Park's open spaces, verdant colors, and natural textures. This space includes a central performance area for high-profile events and can also be segmented for more intimate gatherings such as weddings and private receptions.
More Than Just Entertainment
The expansion also promises to create over 10 acres of green space accessible to the public, including parks, trails, and bike paths. This new development aims to exceed State and industry standards for MWBEs and SDVOBs, ensuring that the benefits of this project are shared by all., the Southeast Queens community can look forward to a truly unique entertainment destination that celebrates New York City's iconic landmarks and culture. With its commitment to minority-owned businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned businesses, and green spaces, this expansion is set to be a game-changer for the region.
